Customer Services Manager

We are seeking a thoroughbred customer service professional to own and develop the global service and aftersales provision for Sunseeker and, its highly successful and discerning customers.

Working with our dealership network, which spans 60 countries, the Customer Service Manager will lead on the deployment of strategic initiatives to maintain and develop our world class service reputation.

The position will be responsible for the maintenance and development of three core service pillars, namely:

  • General: Deployment of after sales KPIs, benchmarking competitors from both the marine and, luxury automotive and aerospace sectors
  • Distributors: Implementation of agreed service standards and performance management of overseas distributors. Implementation of skills matrices plus learning and development programmes for the global register of technical staff, to accredit “Master Sunseeker Technicians"
  • Customer: Development of a Sunseeker Concierge service with one point of contact for customers.  Reforming the product hand over documents.  Initiation of customer service satisfaction measures.  Devising and implementing a strategy to increase the use of Sunseeker genuine spare parts and service packages, through a “service required” programme

The successful applicant will be from either the marine, automotive, or aerospace manufacturing sector and will be able to prove achievements in customer service operations with high value, luxury products in their relevant sector.

Experience working with distributors/dealers is an essential requirement for the role, as is a knowledge of after sales and the handling of a successful and discerning client base.

Electricians

Sunseeker Electricians work in small teams guided by Electrical Team Leaders, to fit out all electrical systems on board the Sunseeker range which includes boats from 48 to 155 feet.

Typical tasks include the installation of cable management systems (trays and trunking), drilling and cutting penetrations through bulkheads (walls), running pre-prepared cables/looms through the boat, terminating cables, crimping and creating looms, installing and connecting generators/batteries, mounting and installing components, installing high value navigation and audio/visual systems.

 

*Minimum Requirements*

* Experience with electrical installations in a domestic or industrial setting across first or second fix

* At least a level 2 vocational qualification in an electrical subject (such as, Electrical Technologies, Electrotechnical Services/Systems, Electrical Installations, Marine Electrical Engineering or similar.

* Able to attend and pass a one hour electrical trade test in Poole, Dorset

* Able to read electrical schematics at a basic level

* Keen to work in a fast paced construction environment

The successful candidate must be able to shape and form, using both traditional and modern material, making accurate patterns/plugs to a high standard ready for mould making.

Interior Design Draughtsperson

Sunseeker International is now seeking an Interior Design Draughtsperson to join the award winning design team, based in Poole, Dorset.

MAIN AIM/PURPOSE OF JOB

To assist in the design and development of projects new and existing, producing 3D models and drawings for the production and manufacture of interior furniture.

MAIN TASKS

1. Taking information from initial concept interior models or a written brief to produce production drawings for various components and sub assemblies for both new and existing projects. This will be done primarily using Siemens NX 3-D design software but also referring to Autocad 2-D information as required, under the direction of the Interior CAD/CAM Coordinator.

2. Add parts to our standard component library within Team Centre

3. Ensure that all work is carried out within design office procedures and protocols and in line with production requirements

4. To ensure new product parts are designed, and (working in liaison with the purchasing and planning depts.) numbered and ordered as required to enable the completion of the final project.

5. To be able to communicate all design information clearly to others involved in the design and production of the project

6. To continually ensure the bill of materials (BOM) is populated with the correct design related parts information both in S-Drive and in SAP.

7. To be able to work within pre-determined drawing office structure and protocol, as in CAD standards, data management etc.

8. Once competent, to assist in the mentoring of new members of the team in the use of Siemens NX

9. To assist other departments within the Design Office as and when required

10. To be able to work on projects as part of a small and focused team as well as issuing design information to tight deadlines with minimum supervision where required.

11. To produce drawings that are suitable for production, classification societies and formatted in such a way that they are suitable for owner’s manuals

12. To continually strive to develop personal skill and knowledge in all aspects of marine design, to enable future advancement in both personal ability and future, larger products.

SCOPE OF THE ROLE (Level of Decision Making and Problem Solving)

This role will involve resolving various design problems and issuing information in the form of drawings and other data to the relevant department (i.e. production, development). The role will require constant forward thinking and re-assessment of existing design to ensure our product advances ahead of the competition. The role requires the ability to make decisions and solve problems on a daily basis, and this ability will be actively encouraged, assisted and developed with the help of continued assessment and guidance. The role of Interior Design Draughtsperson is one that will be expected to develop in step with technology and current company practice to ensure product advancement

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants need to prove ability with 3-D and 2D CAD design software. Any experience in the marine design sector would be an advantage.

Ensure a safe material handling from supplier deliveries to storage / consumption point.

Provide a high level of quality assurance through the internal supply chain process

The position includes the production of Wet Lay Up and Infused GRP components such as: Hulls, Decks and Superstructures.

 

Being able to confidently produce quality GRP mouldings, successful candidates will be able to comfortably sit a practical moulding trade test to prove they have the skills to meet our renowned quality standards.

Design Engineer

The main purpose of this role is to assist in the design and development of both new and existing projects, from modelling components through to producing fully resolved drawings to be issued to production.

Main Tasks:

  • To design and produce production drawings for various components and sub-assemblies for both new and existing projects, primarily using Siemens NX 3-D design software but also using Autocad 2-D as required.

  • To design, model and draft all aspects of systems and machinery including engine geometry for shaft, surface drive, outdrive, outboard and POD installations.

  • To design, model and draft steering, thrusting and stabilisation systems within the hull assembly.

  • To design, model and draft exhaust systems and machinery combustion and ventilation air systems.

  • To design, model and draft engine room fire suppression systems, fire hydrant and emergency bilge systems.

  • To work with and be able to lay out all essential systems within a vessel, such as Black, Grey, Fresh, HVAC, Fuel Oil, Compressed Air, Hydraulics

  • To be able to communicate all design information clearly to others involved in the design and production of the project (working in liaison with the purchasing and planning departments).

  • To ensure that parts are populated into the S-Drive excel sheets which is in turn then used to populate the SAP grandfather bill of materials (GBOM)

  • To be able to work on projects as part of a small and focused team as well as issuing design information to tight deadlines with minimum supervision where required.

  • To produce drawings that are suitable for production, classification societies and formatted in such a way that they are suitable for owner’s manuals.

  • To continually strive to develop personal skill and knowledge in all aspects of marine design, to enable future advancement in both personal ability, and future larger products.

The successful candidate will need:

  • Experience of design, production/engineering using 3-D and 2-D design software.

  • Experience within the marine industry is not a necessity, but it would be beneficial to the job holder.

  • Would ideally suit a Design Engineer or Marine Engineer.

  • Computer literacy is a requirement, with a sound knowledge of 3-D design software, Autocad 2-D design software and spreadsheet ability preferred.
