At a champagne breakfast reception in the Sunseeker VIP lounge, Phil Popham, CEO congratulated 24 colleagues from Sunseeker International with certificate presentations and awards. Those receiving recognition included 13 graduated apprentices, six 25 year service colleagues and five managers who have completed a recognised leadership qualification. Families and friends were also present for what was an inspiring event of recognition.

Sunseeker has recognised the benefits of developing apprentices for over 35 years, currently supporting over 116 apprentices on its programme. Working in partnership with Bournemouth & Poole College and its specialist Marine Technology Centre, Sunseeker is firmly committed to developing the high-level skills of young marine engineers and boat builders who will maintain its reputation as a world leader in luxury performance motor yachts.

Commenting on the ceremony, Alex Bowman, Talent Manager said; “Today has been a great opportunity for us to reward and recognise the achievements of a broad range of our staff.  Sunseeker is fully committed to the development of employees and the event today proves this. As a direct result of our healthy forward order book we are continuing to recruit for skilled staff this year and our apprentices form part of a talent pipeline to support this. We have recently appointed 41 new apprentices and I am looking forward to getting to know the new intake.
