APPRENTICESHIPS - CARPENTRY
ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
If you are applying to be a Carpenter you must:
- Have 5 GCSEs: A*- D to include 2 at A*-C in maths plus technology or science (chemistry or physics)
- Have a good eye for attention to detail
- Be a perfectionist in what you do and use a logical approach to tasks given to complete
- Be able to evidence working with wood either at school or as a hobby
- Have a good eye for attention to detail
What you will be doing at College:
- City and Guilds Level 2 & 3 in Boat Building Maintenance and Support
- NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Marine Engineering
- Key Skills such as: English, Maths, ICT and Communication
- Various Sunseeker courses such as: Personal financial management and product technical training
