Superyacht Update

Sunseeker Shortlisted For Success

Sunseeker International is celebrating following the announcement that two of its stunning yachts have been shortlisted in the World Superyacht Awards 2015.

Now in its 10th year, the prestigious awards ceremony acknowledges the very best in superyacht design and build.  The awards are designed to showcase the finest superyachts built in the past 12 months, so to have two yachts named as finalists in two separate categories is quite the accolade for Sunseeker.

Sunseeker has secured a nomination in both the Semi-Displacement for Planing Three Deck Motor Yacht 30m-44.99m category for its 40 Metre Yacht, ‘Thumper’ and the Semi-Displacement for Planing, Three Deck Motor Yacht 45m and above category for its 155 Yacht, Blush.

Thumper, the most recent 40 Metre Yacht, beautifully showcases the high levels of personalisation which can be achieved by the Sunseeker design team.  The owner of this fabulous yacht wanted to push the boundaries of what had previously been created and the end result is a magnificent yacht like no other in the world.

Blush is of particular significance as not only is it the biggest project the British manufacturer has ever undertaken, but it also takes the concept of a series build with personal customisation even further.

The winners of the World Superyacht Awards 2015 will be announced at the awards ceremony in Amsterdam on 9th May 2015.

Sunseeker Unveil Exclusive Images of 155 Yacht/Hull #2

Sunseeker International has released exclusive CGI interior images of the eagerly anticipated second 155 Yacht currently under production in Poole, UK which has been codenamed ‘Project Gold Diamond’ and is on track for delivery in early 2016.

Sunseeker has taken the concept of series building with personal customisation one step further.  The modular build methodology enables the new owners to have substantial personal input into the interior design and layout via the yards ‘Bespoke’ service. The stunning images reveal the impressive new layout and design of this latest custom interior.

The Sunseeker team is approaching the halfway stage in the construction process with the hull, deck and superstructure fully moulded, engines and gearbox installed and painting of the superstructure underway.   The traditional ‘all white’ yacht will now move into the second stage of development, which will see the interior brought to glorious life by the talented Sunseeker team.

The yacht is an impressive fusion of engineering perfection and truly breathtaking design.  Featuring an elegant interior throughout, it has a more ‘classic’ feel than the first 155 Yacht ‘Blush’ which has already reached the finalist stage of the renowned ShowBoats Design Awards 2015.

The new yacht will be powered by an impressive Twin 16V 4000 series MTU M93, which will deliver an increased top speed of up to 24 knots.

Alongside the remarkable engineering and stunning exterior structure, the interior is sure to delight and inspire Sunseeker lovers across the world.  The master stateroom in particular, features spectacular floor-to-ceiling windows which create a dramatic feeling of light and space while offering the most spectacular views.

Boasting impressive accommodation with six cabins for up to 12 guests in ultimate style and luxury, the forward lower deck area can accommodate up to 10 crew with a separate captain’s cabin located adjacent to the wheelhouse.

The upper saloon features a full-length stone finished bar and an additional secondary dining area which offers a less formal dining experience than the principal arrangement located on the main deck.  Yet another highlight is the spectacular port-side balcony which offers uninterrupted views.

The 155 Yacht features exquisite design touches throughout but it is perhaps the addition of a sauna to the Beach Club which is creating the biggest stir with potential customers.  This extravagant feature is yet another example of the custom approach Sunseeker is able to consider when dealing with clients through its ‘Bespoke’ service.

Sean Robertson, Sales Director at Sunseeker International said: "The first 155 Yacht was a truly magnificent sight to behold and a stunning fusion of precision engineering and contemporary design.  Although a more ‘classic’ interpretation, the latest yacht will surely be met with the same reception when it is completed in early 2016 due to yet more innovative features and custom choices.

“As the largest yacht we have ever built, the 155 is testament to the dedication and passion of the Sunseeker team who bring together the very best of British engineering and design talent. We are immensely proud.”

The latest Sunseeker 155 Yacht is scheduled for completion in early 2016 and will be available for charter shortly after.

Sunseeker International is celebrating, as its stunning 155 Yacht has been short listed for the Show Boats Design Awards 2015.

The yacht, named ‘Blush’, has been named a finalist in the Exterior Design and Styling Award category thanks to its sublime exterior lines and overall design.  The award ceremony now in its sixth year recognises the creativity behind the most innovative and inspiring new yachts.  What’s more Sunseeker’s nomination has been made all the more special by the fact that this stunning tri-deck is the largest yacht the British manufacturer has ever made.

Commissioned by Eddie Jordan on behalf of the Jordan Family trust, the yacht is the epitome of sophistication.  The biggest project ever undertaken by the British luxury yacht manufacturer, ‘Blush’ is of particular significance to Sunseeker as it takes the concept of a series build with personal customisation even further.  The modular build methodology allowed Formula 1 star Eddie Jordan to have a direct input on the interior design and layout of the yacht, as well as on the superstructure of the yacht.

The accommodation onboard ‘Blush’ is the ultimate in style and luxury for up to 10 guests.   Two VIP cabins can be found on the main deck, both of which feature ceiling to floor glass windows, which create a dramatic feeling of light and space, as well as offering spectacular views.  In addition the forward lower deck area can accommodate up to 10 crew with a separate captain’s cabin located on the Upper Deck next to the wheelhouse.

While the spacious and stylish private accommodation is clearly one of the most appealing features of Sunseeker’s flagship yacht, it is the expanse of entertainment space which makes it truly stand out. The upper deck alone features a huge sky lounge which can be dedicated to private entertainment.  While the main deck features a large saloon and formal dining area.

The level of sophistication found in Blush’s interior is further enhanced by its unique design palette, which blends grey, blue, green tones to create an overall chic aqua feel.

Such innovative design is extremely intricate and the attention to detail in the 155 Yacht is second to none.  The team at Poole have worked closely with Eddie Jordan to ensure his personality is reflected in the design but have also made sure that the trademark Sunseeker standards are evident throughout.

James Hall, Superyacht Sales Manager at Sunseeker International, commented: “We are absolutely delighted to have been short listed in the Show Boats Design Awards as it is testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Sunseeker team.  ‘Blush’ was an entirely new concept for us and the biggest project we have ever undertaken, so it means to a lot to be recognised for our innovation.”

Sunseeker Takes Centre Stage at Monaco Yacht Show

Sunseeker International were delighted to showcase its 40 Metre Yacht, 115 Sport Yacht and 155 Yacht at Monaco Yacht Show, held on the 24th to 27th September 2014.

With the breathtaking Riviera acting as the backdrop for this fantastic boat show, Sunseeker’s elite selection of yachts were certainly at home in Monaco.  What’s more, the yachts on display have been carefully chosen to highlight the ‘Bespoke’ design service offered by Sunseeker.

Blush, the 155 Yacht on display at the show, was commissioned by a long-standing client.  It is of particular significance to Sunseeker as it is not only is the biggest project the British manufacturer has ever undertaken, but it also takes the concept of a series build with personal customisation even further.  The modular build methodology allowed the client to have a direct input on the interior design and layout of the yacht, as well as on the actual superstructure.

Blush boasts spacious and stylish private accommodation, which is one of the most appealing features of Sunseeker’s flagship yacht.  The yacht also offers an expanse of entertaining space with the upper deck alone featuring a stunning sky lounge which can be dedicated to private entertainment.  The interior of Blush exudes style and sophistication and this is further enhanced by its unique design palette which blends grey, blue and green tones to create an overall chic ‘aqua’ feel.

Thumper, the most recent 40 Metre created by Sunseeker, beautifully showcases the level of personalisation a yacht can undergo.  The owner of this stunning yacht wanted to push the boundaries of what had previously been created and the end result is a fabulous yacht like no other in the world.

While bespoke design is certainly common on the interior of many yachts, the 40 Metre Yacht takes personalisation one step further thanks to a fully customised exterior. Its streamlined exterior has been further refined courtesy of its customised decks and upgraded railings.  The yacht’s grand exterior entertaining spaces exude luxury and the bespoke furniture amplifies this by offering unprecedented comfort and style. The in-house Sunseeker designers, working alongside an independent interior design team, created a tranquil haven for the owner and their guests to enjoy. The colour scheme is made up of neutral tones with hints of colour to create a light and airy feeling, enhancing the spacious yet luxurious feel of the yacht.

Blush and Thumper appeared alongside the 115 Sport Yacht, which boasts a powerful presence which can be felt from all angles.  It effortlessly combines high-speed cruising with spacious accommodation.

The full-beam master stateroom is an impressive feature usually only found on larger yachts but thanks to its clever layout the 115 Sport Yacht delivers maximum space and dramatic impact. Four further guest cabins are located on the lower deck.  Both the two double cabins and the two twin cabins feature the large Sunseeker trademark port lights, which add to the spacious feel thanks to the natural light they provide.

Sean Robertson, Sales Director at Sunseeker International commented: “Monaco not only provided a beautiful setting, but also a truly engaged audience.  So it was the perfect place to showcase the breadth of the Sunseeker range and the many possibilities available from our dedicated ‘Bespoke’ team. Blush and Thumper highlight just how much is possible when it comes to truly bespoke design and how hard our team works to create the perfect yacht for each individual customer.”
